About Nova Psychiatry

Nova Psychiatry was founded with a vision to revolutionize psychiatry and the treatment of mental health issues. We strive to provide a modern and patient-centered care experience. Currently, we primarily focus on assessments for ADHD and Autism, as well as medical treatment following diagnosis. However, our ambition is to broaden our offerings and help as many patients as possible through innovative and evidence-based methods in psychiatry and mental health.

Today's psychiatry is characterized by traditional methods and often a slow working pace, where technological advancements and the patient's needs rarely take center stage. Many patients find it difficult to navigate a complex public system or turn to large healthcare providers where they risk becoming an anonymous number in the crowd. We have chosen to do things differently by putting the patient at the center and offering psychiatric care with five-star service. Our strategy is based on patient experience, quality, and efficiency, where we use modern technology and innovative working methods to continuously improve and develop our operations.

Our dedicated team is the core of our business and primarily consists of psychologists, doctors, and nurses. Nova Psychiatry was founded in January 2024 and currently has about 20 employees – and we are growing rapidly. We are now looking for more driven individuals who want to help shape the future of psychiatry with us. We place a strong emphasis on hiring Sweden's most talented employees, and we want everyone here to feel more at home with us than anywhere else. Nova's vision is to show how psychiatry can work, for both patients and employees. We believe that it can be done much better. We are driven by the constant improvement of patient satisfaction, maintaining high quality, and simultaneously increasing efficiency through reduced administration. We believe we can achieve all this by having fun together, daring to make mistakes, and striving to be the best at what we do.

About the role

We are now hiring several psychological assistants who can work remotely from anywhere in Sweden. We have a need for a variety of tasks. Some will work solely on one task, while others will handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Therefore, please indicate in your application which tasks you are interested in working with.

Examples of tasks:

  • Conduct assessment interviews via video to determine if the patient should undergo a full assessment.
  • Assist in neuropsychiatric assessments, for example by helping to write reports, administering tests, or assisting in interviews with relatives or teachers.
  • Write blog posts and articles about psychology, such as "What is ADHD?"
  • Create internal guides, onboarding materials, and routine documents.
  • Develop psychoeducational materials for patients/customers.
  • Be responsible for bookings and customer support.

The role is part-time, 5-20 hours/week during the semesters. There may be opportunities for more work during the summer. Please indicate if you are interested in only part-time work during the semesters or if you are also interested in working more during the summer.

Who we are looking for
  • Psychology student who wants to help drive change in psychiatry for the better.
  • You have a strong drive and enjoy getting things done at a fast pace.
  • Good social skills, you are adept at quickly building trust and relationships with others.
  • You learn quickly and have a good ability to be self-directed.
  • You have a flexible and open attitude towards changes and improvement work.
What we offer
  • Sweden's best part-time job for psychological assistants who want to have fun and learn a lot together with other driven clinics.
  • Opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment where you can contribute to the future of psychiatry.
  • Guidance and support in your professional development.
  • Flexible workplace where work can be done remotely, but you are warmly welcome to work from our offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg, or Malmö.
  • An open and inclusive work culture where we enjoy having fun together at and outside of work.
  • Opportunity for work during breaks and a chance for full-time employment after graduation.
