The Smedjebacken Health Center has approximately 7,300 registered residents. We run a medical clinic, laboratory tests, medical advice, district nursing, we have specialist nurses with their own clinics, BVC, midwifery, diabetes, blood pressure, asthma/COPD, memory clinic, we also have physiotherapists, occupational therapists, rehabilitation coordinators, counseling, addiction treatment, and care coordinators for mental health with their own clinic at the health center. The staffing consists of many different professional categories with broad expertise, and collaboration and utilization of each other's different skills are an important part of daily work.

Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00.

District/Nurse for Children, Smedjebacken Health Center

Job Responsibilities

Primary care is the hub of healthcare and should provide good and close care. Now you have the chance to become part of our team at Smedjebacken Health Center. We are looking for a District/Nurse for Children to join our health center, who will share the responsibility at BVC.

The BHV nurse is a key person in the child health care team at the Child Health Center (BVC), as the majority of child health care work is performed by the BVC nurse. The work at BHV includes, in addition to promoting and supporting, a comprehensive somatic perspective as well as a public health-oriented and psychosocial perspective. This requires that the BVC nurse collaborates closely with several professionals regarding the child's health, cooperates with other actors in the care chain, and with other activities. As a BHV nurse, you actively support parents through scheduled visits, parent groups, telephone advice, and home visits. In your work, you have support from the BHV unit and work according to the national basic program. You will have a stimulating job with opportunities for regular professional development through the BHV unit. We work in the TakeCare journal system. In the fall of 2025, we will switch to the Cosmic journal system, and if you are the one we are looking for, you will, of course, receive an introduction to Cosmic.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• is a licensed specialist nurse with a focus on district nursing or health care for children and adolescents.

As a person, you have a professional approach in your interactions with children and their families and build trust. (The tasks within BHV require high child competence and a child perspective). You should have a good ability to collaborate with other agencies while also working independently, taking responsibility for your assignment, and being flexible and resilient to stress.
