At Region Dalarna, you will find a meaningful job where you can make a difference. Together, we work for a sustainable Dalarna with development power in all parts of the county.

You are applying to the continence coordination unit, which belongs to our largest department, Movement, to be part of a stimulating and development-oriented operation, with the county's continence coordinators as your closest colleagues. The department includes assistive technology consultants, assistive technology technicians, and rehabilitation assistants. The department's mission, governed by the assistive technology board, includes not only continence coordination but also patient reception for the testing of mobility aids, consultation, procurement, education, and collaboration with the county's prescribers. The operations are mainly located in Falun but also have some activities in Mora and Borlänge.

The continence coordination unit works comprehensively and long-term to ensure quality, competence, and patient safety in Dalarna. Today, there is also a need to clarify the connection between operational responsibility and cost responsibility. Demographic development shows that we are becoming more elderly, and the number of people in need of care and treatment for bladder and/or bowel dysfunction is increasing. The area needs to be developed so that patient participation and the best possible living situation for people of all ages can be offered. This is achieved through increased adherence to care programs and guidelines for treatment and the prescription of aids for bladder/bowel. Incontinence care affects most professions within healthcare and is an important part of professional nursing.
