The Adult Psychiatry in Dalarna is a consolidated specialist service and belongs to the Division of Psychiatry and Rehabilitation within Health and Medical Care. The psychiatric reception in Avesta is one of the receptions in Dalarna that offers psychiatric specialist care to the adult population in Avesta. The reception has a broad specialist psychiatric competence with various professional groups working transprofessionally. There is an established collaboration with psychiatric inpatient care, municipalities, other health and medical care, and other community actors.

Job Responsibilities

Our mission is to investigate, diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate patients with severe psychiatric conditions, aiming to achieve good health and quality of life. The patient groups we encounter have various psychiatric conditions such as psychosis and bipolar disorder, neuropsychiatric disabilities, PTSD, and severe depression and anxiety disorders. Within the psychologist group, there is a broad competence that allows you to focus on your area of interest, e.g., investigation, a specific treatment method, or patient group. Among us who work here, there are psychologists who are in specialist training. We have competence in trauma treatment and conduct various group therapies. There is an opportunity to start more group therapies. The operation offers further education, supervision, and professional meetings that provide good opportunities for development. Based on the needs of the operation and your own competence, various forms of development work may become relevant.

The position is filled under the condition that necessary decisions are made.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• We are looking for a licensed psychologist.
• A driver's license is required as travel in the job occurs.

Meritorious:

• Specialist training in neuropsychology.
• Experience with more severe psychiatric issues.
• Experience in investigation as the majority of the position will focus on this.

Personal qualities:

You are expected to have good collaboration skills as the work consists of teamwork, and you should also be able to work independently, be flexible, manage changes, and make decisions.
