Your Role

As a Digital Transformation Lead focused on Supply Chain and Manufacturing, you will be a driving force behind digital innovation and modernization within Saab Surveillance. Your mission is to develop and implement strategies, frameworks, and best practices that optimize and transform our supply chain and manufacturing operations.

You will lead cross-functional teams of experts, ensuring alignment between business needs and technological solutions. This involves identifying opportunities for automation, process improvement, and data-driven decision making across the entire value chain - from procurement and production to logistics and after-sales service.

Working closely with colleagues in our business units, as well as with specialists in areas like AI, data analytics, and change management, you will drive proof-of-concept projects, pilot new technologies, and establish collaborative models to accelerate digital adoption. You will leverage the expertise of both Saab Business Area IT and Corporate IT to identify and implement the most effective digitalization solutions.

This role is part of the Surveillance Digital Transformation Office, a central team within the COO Office dedicated to propelling Saab Surveillance into the future of intelligent operations.

Regarding experience and education, we are looking for someone who has:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Digital Transformation Expertise: Proven experience in leading and implementing digital transformation initiatives within manufacturing and supply chain environments.
  • Communication Skills: Fluent in both Swedish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear and concise communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Technology Proficiency: Hands-on experience with technologies relevant to supply chain and manufacturing optimization, including:
  • Industry 4.0 technologies (e.g., IIoT, Digital Twins, Advanced Robotics, AI/ML in manufacturing)
  • ERP & Supply Chain Management systems (e.g., IFS)
  • Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) for data-driven supply chain solutions.
  • Predictive Analytics, Demand Forecasting, or Supply Chain Optimization models.
  • Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or Smart Factory solutions.
  • RPA (Robotic Process Automation) in procurement, production planning, or order management workflows.
  • Supply Chain Control Towers, Digital Supply Chain Visibility platforms, or Real-Time Dashboards.
  • Cybersecurity practices in OT/Manufacturing environments.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience in end-to-end digital transformation delivery, including assessment, design, development, deployment, and scaling of digital solutions.
  • Preferably within end-to-end supply chain or production process transformations.
  • Experience leading digital-driven transformation projects, preferably within complex, cross-functional environments (industries like tech, manufacturing, defense, as well as supporting functions such as finance, procurement, project management, and quality).
  • Understanding of transformation and improvement methodologies such as lean, six sigma, change management, design thinking, digital threads, or similar combined with digital tools.
