Vehicle Mechanic at Boliden

Boliden is a high-tech metal company with its own mines and smelters, working long-term to ensure society's access to base and precious metals. For a century, our work has been part of the value chains that have shaped modern society. At Boliden, we know that the metals we extract and make available will play a crucial role in the future - what matters is how we produce them. Join us and drive change for future generations.

Your Role:

As a vehicle mechanic at Boliden, you will have the opportunity to delve into technology and let your passion for mechanics shine. By applying your expertise, you will ensure that every vehicle leaves the workshop in optimal condition, ready for future challenges.

Your Team:

You will be part of a shift team of three, where collaboration and accountability are central values. In total, there are 13 mechanics working in this department. As a vehicle mechanic in the Kankberg mine, you will receive the necessary safety training required for this role.

The work format is K2, known as a 7-7 shift, which means you work 7 days and are off for 7 days with varying morning and afternoon shifts.

The position is a permanent employment with a start date as soon as possible.

The location is Kankberg mine.

Your Responsibilities:

Your main responsibility includes service and maintenance of vehicles used in the mining industry. You will be responsible for accurately diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of machinery. You will be stationed in the workshop located underground and also perform field repairs in mining rooms.

Your Contribution:

We look forward to working with you if you thrive in collaboration and can work independently. Initiative, personal responsibility, solution-oriented mindset, and the ability to maintain order and structure are essential.

You have a technical interest and a high school education, preferably in vehicle technology or a related field. Previous experience in similar tasks or in service and maintenance of larger construction machinery is an advantage.

You should have good computer skills and a strong ability to express yourself both in writing and verbally in Swedish as well as English. A valid driver's license (B) is required.

Why Work with Us:

At Boliden, we believe in fostering a workplace where care, courage, and responsibility are central to everything we do. We offer a workplace where we believe in collaboration, and where your contributions will have a direct impact on future generations. We are a company made up of responsible and creative people all working towards the same vision; to become the most sustainable and respected metal supplier in the world.

Apply today to be part of something truly meaningful!

As selection for interviews is ongoing, we encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible.
