Dentist at the Neuro Head and Neck Center

At the Neuro Head and Neck Center (NHHC), approximately 650 people work today with various aspects of investigation, treatment, and rehabilitation of diseases and injuries to the nervous system, brain, ears, nose, throat, and maxillofacial surgery. The center is a regional clinic where highly specialized care is provided for patients from the entire northern healthcare area, and it also conducts research, education, and development.

The maxillofacial surgery department regularly collaborates with other medical specialties in connection with surgeries for head and neck tumors, cleft lip and palate, as well as complicated facial fractures/neurocranial injuries. We perform all types of surgical procedures and investigations that belong to the maxillofacial care panorama. For inpatient care, we have beds in the Ear-Nose-Throat and Maxillofacial Surgery department where we have our own care responsibility. Maxillofacial surgery also has a very close collaboration with other dental specialties located in close proximity to the clinic. Our referrers are found both within general dental care and private dental care.

We have regular therapy discussions and exchanges with other maxillofacial clinics in the northern region. In collaboration with the Department of Dentistry at the Medical Faculty, we conduct basic education for dental students as well as further education for dental nurses in the subject. Clinical supervision is included as a mandatory part of the clinical service for all staff. The department has been conducting research in reconstructive maxillofacial surgery for many years.

The development and quality work being carried out primarily concerns digital treatment planning in implant surgery, orthognathic surgery, and reconstructive surgery. We have three specialists in maxillofacial surgery, including one university lecturer, one assistant lecturer/ST dentist, two additional ST dentists, one general dentist, nine dental nurses, one nurse, one dental assistant, and one medical secretary. We staff the maxillofacial surgery on-call service around the clock, every day of the week throughout the year.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a dentist with us, you contribute knowledge and engagement that makes employees and patients feel secure.

In the role of general dentist with us, you will provide care within maxillofacial surgery with a focus on dentoalveolar surgery.

A significant emphasis will be placed on clinical supervision and theoretical teaching of dental students. You will also participate in the clinic's therapy planning.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a Swedish dental license issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare and at least two years of service (calculated to full-time) in general dental care. We require good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

The employment is temporary for at least 6 months with the possibility of extension.
