Manufacturing Technology Specialist E-axle assembly

Volvo in Skövde is on an exciting transformation journey towards a greener future. To succeed in our ambitious goals, we need employees with different perspectives and experiences who can view our challenges with fresh eyes. The Assembly Technology department is looking for an MTS for E-axle who wants to help create the industry of the future.

Responsibilities:

As an MTS/Senior Project Manager, you will lead investigations and industrialization projects within the E-axle assembly area. Your work will involve classic project management such as team building, planning, coordinating, and monitoring resources, budgets, and timelines. You will also be responsible for the implementation and preparation of production equipment and processes, procurement, and risk assessments. As MTS, Manufacturing Technology Specialist, you will be GTO's global representative for E-axle and you will define best practices and set a vision for E-axle.

About you:

You are a passionate and flexible person with a desire to take on new technical challenges. It is important that you have a strong commitment and the ability to lead both yourself and others. Since we work in teams, you need to enjoy working closely with people and also be attentive and able to operate in various forums. We work at a fast pace, which sometimes means unclear guidelines within projects – you need to either be triggered by the challenge it presents or enjoy creating structures to move forward in your work.

You should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience assessed by us. Previous experience in project management is necessary, and experience in production technology work is an advantage. You also need to be able to express yourself in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

About us:

The production facility in Skövde is the largest driveline site in the Volvo Group with a total of 3,500 employees. Over 250 engineers work within the technology organization. Part of the technology organization is the assembly technology area, which currently consists of about 70 employees distributed among a project manager, two ME managers, and a prototype manager. Our mission includes ensuring baseline conditions, implementing product and industrial projects, and driving technology development. We now need reinforcement in our project group, which currently consists of 18 engineers working as preparers, project managers, and specialists.
