Your Role
As an Electrical Engineer in our Electrical and Instrumentation Technical Group, you will serve as technical support and a specialist in electrical power and systems. You will work closely with production, maintenance, environmental, and project organizations as well as external partners such as suppliers and energy companies. Your focus will be on ensuring safety, availability, and efficiency in the refinery's operations while contributing to reducing our environmental impact.
You will help drive technological development, lead investigations, and be responsible for the development of our maintenance strategies and SCADA systems. The role also involves travel to suppliers and our other refineries. With us, you will become an important part of a competent team where knowledge exchange and development are at the center.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who is analytical, solution-focused, and has a genuine interest in technology and development. You enjoy having many points of contact and prefer a role where good communication and collaboration are keys to success. You are engaged, meticulous, and humble, and want to contribute to a safe and inclusive work environment.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent technical education.
- Experience in electrical power and work within the process or offshore industry, preferably in projects and maintenance.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English.
Meritorious:
- Experience with electrical distribution systems (switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS).
- Knowledge of PLC/MicroScada, motor control, and industrial communication interfaces.
- Familiarity with EL-VIS, Febdok, or similar for dimensioning electrical installations.
- Experience with maintenance and documentation systems as well as CAD.
What You Will Be Part Of
You will become an important part of Preem - a workplace characterized by a welcoming atmosphere, trust in employees, and good development opportunities. We work with the purpose of making the journey to a better future possible. Right now, we are undergoing the largest transition in our history where fossil fuels are gradually being phased out and replaced by renewable alternatives. A transition we are making because we want to, can, and must. With us, you will have freedom under responsibility and be encouraged to take your own initiatives to develop the business forward. It is important for us that you share our values: Responsibility, Innovation, and Inclusion, as they are the foundation of everything we do.
