Verification and Validation Engineer

We are now looking for a verification and validation engineer with experience in fiber optics and radio communication who, in close collaboration with your colleagues, wants to contribute to strengthening the capabilities of the Armed Forces and Sweden. Together with an experienced team, you will help create solutions that make an impact – both today and in the future.

About the Position

In the role of verification and validation engineer in the Measurement Systems section, you will work on setting technical requirements for technical devices, products, and/or subsystems, as well as supporting and participating in testing activities within communication systems.

As a verification and validation engineer, you will work with world-leading technology and have a varied job.

In this role, you will support and participate with communication and IT equipment during testing activities, conduct technical engineering work and requirements specification for complex technical products, design technical solutions within communication and IT systems. You will also follow the technical development in the relevant area, participate in project work concerning complex technical products, and plan, execute, and follow up on complex development assignments within communication and IT systems.

You will be part of a knowledge-intensive team that together uses your competencies to ensure that the materials delivered by FMV to the Armed Forces are functional and safe.

The position is located in Karlsborg. Travel and service at other locations are included in the position.

About You

We are looking for someone with a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, such as Electronics or IT, or equivalent competence acquired in another way.

To succeed in this role, it is essential that you have relevant experience in fiber optics and radio communication. The position requires a valid driver's license (B), very good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, good knowledge of English in both spoken and written form, and good knowledge of the Office suite.

You have relevant experience in one of the areas of IT, electronics, or communication technology. It is an advantage if you have relevant experience in several of these areas.

If you have experience working with the Armed Forces' communication systems or equivalent communication systems, it is an advantage, as is experience working in a project-based environment.
