Job Responsibilities

As an assistant nurse with us, you will work with both experienced and newly graduated colleagues and meet a range of patients with different needs, creating a dynamic work environment. In addition to taking care of patients' nursing needs and being responsible for documentation, you will also have the chance to develop in various specialist areas such as diabetes, stroke, palliative care, and cardiology.

We use Cosmic Nova on iPads in our work as a complement to the Cosmic journal system. Some of the documentation can therefore be performed directly in the care situation, and we are very satisfied with how it works for us.

The care team has daily discussions about patient safety and work environment, and to further strengthen this work, we participate in a research project concerning work environment and patient safety.

About the Workplace

Your placement is at Ward 1 in Sala, and there may be opportunities to work at the Primary Care Department in Västerås as well. Ward 1 conducts multiprofessional rehabilitation of stroke and orthopedic patients, treatment of medically stable patients within internal medicine/geriatrics, and palliative care. The ward currently has 35 employees, and we work based on a person-centered approach in a calm and pleasant environment.

Ward 1 at Västmanlands Hospital Sala is part of Primary Care East. Primary Care East is a clinic that operates in both Sala and Västerås. Here, you will meet patients with many different diagnoses and needs. Our primary care meets the residents' needs for basic internal medicine specialist care, specialized palliative care, advanced home care via AH teams, and qualified rehabilitation efforts as well as mobile primary care teams in collaboration with the municipalities' home care. Our strength lies in our breadth. We strive to work person-centered in interdisciplinary teams. The clinic as a whole drives a number of projects and development efforts as part of the transition to close care in Västmanland. The clinic includes the following units:

Qualifications

We welcome both newly graduated and experienced assistant nurses who are willing and engaged to contribute to our operations. To be eligible to apply, you need to be an assistant nurse with a protected professional title.

We are looking for someone who is curious, interested, enjoys variety, and has a positive attitude. You have the ability to collaborate with other professions and are attracted to the idea of working in a multiprofessional team where everyone's competencies are equally important. It is also important that you are attentive and communicate with patients, relatives, and colleagues with respect. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Employment Terms

Permanent position, 50-100% day/evening/weekend. Start date by agreement.
