Umeå Port is now looking for a Project Support. With us, you will play an important role in planning and implementing the expansion of Umeå port, including the deepening of the fairway to Umeå to meet future transport needs due to an expanding industry. Additionally, you will participate in several other exciting development projects in the port.

Umeå Port, an enabler for Umeå's role as a logistics hub!

The mission of Umeå Port is to enable efficient and sustainable transportation for the region's business community. Umeå Port AB is a municipal company that owns and manages the port's facilities such as quays, railway tracks, and cranes. Umeå Port AB is a subsidiary of Umeå Kommunföretag AB. The port in Umeå is operated by the subsidiary Kvarken Ports.

Umeå port is one of the larger ports in northern Scandinavia with an annual cargo handling of approximately 2.5 million tons. Half of the products that pass through the port come from the forest, such as kraftliner, timber, and more. Currently, several construction and development projects are underway in Umeå port. Financing is provided by Umeå Port AB and the EU.

Your mission

As a project support at Umeå Port, you are the face of the company and responsible for leading and following the project's progress. You will, together with project managers from INAB:

• Lead various types of construction and civil engineering assignments with responsibility for budget, timelines, scope, and quality.
• Be responsible for the preparation of procurement materials, conduct procurements, and evaluate bids.
• Manage project deviations, reporting, and follow-up.
• Be responsible for contact with authorities and compliance with applicable requirements and legislation.
• Ensure that BAS-P and BAS-U are appointed by the contractor and consultant.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in:

• Water operations
• Environmental permits
• Piling
• Sheet piling
• Class 1 Concrete execution
• Underwater casting
• Earthworks
• Paving operations
• Geotechnical knowledge

• At least 10 years of experience in independently leading construction or civil engineering projects with responsibility for time, cost, quality, and execution.
• Driver's license B.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Meritorious with good knowledge and practical experience of consulting and construction law as well as public procurement.

Personal qualities

We are looking for someone who is engaged, meticulous, and has a good ability to collaborate with many different parties. You are a clear communicator and have good planning and foresight skills. You understand business strategies and priorities, and apply this knowledge to achieve goals. You set project goals and create motivation in others to perform to high standards.
