The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers is one of the largest mathematical institutions in the Nordic countries, with approximately 200 employees. The department consists of three divisions: Algebra and Geometry, Analysis and Probability Theory, and Applied Mathematics and Statistics.

We are looking for a university lecturer in mathematics who will contribute to the department's research activities in the Algebra and Geometry division.

The new employee is expected to develop and conduct research at a high international level and participate in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels within mathematics at the department.

We expect the new employee to contribute to strengthening and complementing the research in mathematics conducted at the Algebra and Geometry division, e.g., in algebraic geometry, complex geometry, and number theory.

The division has dedicated teachers with extensive and broad experience in all aspects of undergraduate and graduate education in mathematics. We are appreciated by students and continuously seek opportunities for pedagogical development. Our ambition is for our teaching in mathematics to be conducted at the highest international level.
