The Adult Psychiatric Services in Örnsköldsvik consists of two clinics and a specialist psychiatric care team. The clinics have a general psychiatric focus and cater to individuals over 18 years old who need psychiatric care at a specialist level. A total of about 40 practitioners from various professions work at the clinics, and we practice team psychiatry. We meet patients with a wide spectrum of psychiatric conditions. We place great emphasis on assessment/diagnosis and evidence-based treatment, where we can offer a broad range of treatment options. We are HBTQI-certified.

We are currently seeking a nursing assistant/treatment assistant for Psychiatric Clinic A. Clinic A primarily works with patients with psychotic disorders and affective conditions. The position is a temporary one with immediate start.

Job Responsibilities

The team's responsibilities include offering patients with psychotic disorders and affective conditions, who fall under our level of care, interventions such as medication follow-up, medication distribution, injection treatment, supportive conversations, psychosocial support interventions, psychological treatment, and occupational therapy interventions. We have both acute and planned services.

As a nursing assistant in the team, your primary tasks will be to conduct supportive conversations with patients who belong to our unit. Handling incoming phone calls in TeleQ and managing cases via 1177 may also be part of your responsibilities. Supporting nurses working with medication distribution may also become relevant for you in this temporary position.

You will work independently but will also be part of a team with other professionals. You will receive good support from wonderful helpful colleagues. Mentorship is offered.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who

• Is a trained nursing assistant/treatment assistant or treatment pedagogue
• Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• Has good knowledge of English in speech and writing

It is an advantage if you

• Have further education in psychiatry
• Have further education as a conversation therapist
• Have experience working in psychiatry and conversing with individuals with psychiatric issues
• Have additional language skills
