The County Hospital Somatics coordinates the specialized somatic care in Region Västernorrland. The somatic area consists of eleven county hospital operations. These operations are conducted at three hospitals: Sundsvall, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik, as well as several clinics located in various towns in the region. The area has approximately 2,400 employees.

The Lung Clinic belongs to the County Operations Lung/Skin/Infection, where our mission is to perform all common pulmonary medical procedures. Here, there is a completely newly renovated lung ward 23B consisting of 12 beds, as well as a clinic with significant activity in profile diagnoses such as lung cancer, obstructive and interstitial lung diseases.

We are now looking for a nurse for the Lung Ward 23B. The position is a permanent employment with immediate start or as agreed.

Job Responsibilities

Here you will be part of our multidisciplinary team, and in addition to regular nursing tasks, you will also participate in internal training on the use of home ventilators, oxygen treatments, lung drainage, arterial blood gas sampling, and palliative care.

In the Lung Ward, we primarily care for patients with various lung diagnoses. We are divided into three care teams and have close collaboration with our ward doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and dietitians to maintain continuity in our person-centered work.

The position involves working day/evening shifts and two weekends out of five with a fixed rotating schedule. Within the administration, we use competence ladders to secure, retain, and develop our skills to achieve set goals, provide safe care to patients, and ensure a good reception.

• Is a licensed nurse
• Has good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form
