JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a school nurse for the Central Student Health Services, placed within the primary school in central Sollefteå.

As a school nurse in the Central Student Health Services, you will be employed by the municipality, with your own clinic at the schools you are responsible for. You will provide health visits based on the municipality's applicable basic program in preschool class, grades 2, 4, and 7, and offer vaccinations according to the national vaccination program. You will also be part of the local student health team at your schools and work there in a health-promoting and preventive manner. You will provide support to students based on your expertise, which may involve individual conversations with students or information/lessons with groups/classes together with others from the student health team. School nurses meet regularly for coordination and supervision regarding work tasks.

We are looking for someone who has the ability to create good relationships with children and adolescents and work with individual students as well as with groups. The work involves close collaboration with school staff and in teams with other professionals within student health; school doctors, counselors, special educators, speech therapists, and school psychologists. You will also have contact with relevant authorities in various student matters.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained nurse with further education as a pediatric nurse, district nurse, or school nurse. We prefer that you have experience working as a school nurse and/or from child and adolescent healthcare or other experiences working with children and adolescents.

A driver's license (B) is required.
