Job Responsibilities

You will work as GIS support in the organization, producing analyses, information sets, and streamlining information management. There will also be some development within the GIS area as we are in a management phase with other administrations in Malmö city. You will also work with:

developing and implementing routines, manuals, and process descriptions
sharing responsibility for the internal process of collecting GIS information
being close to operations in the work with geodata and geographic systems
participating in cross-administrative GIS collaborations

There are good opportunities to develop in other areas that the BIM-GIS section works with based on your own initiative and knowledge. In city properties, there are many different functions and roles that require geodata and GIS-oriented solutions.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

has a university degree of at least 180 credits in GIS engineering or in physical geography, human geography, or has other relevant education in the GIS field.
has at least two (2) years of work experience in the GIS field.
has good knowledge of QGIS and FME
has good knowledge of geographic database management in PostgreSQL (PostGIS) or SQL Server.
has experience writing and interpreting XML and SQL.

It is meritorious if you have:

Knowledge in digitization within the QGIS software.
Knowledge in Cartesia Spatial Map & Spatial Suite.
Basic knowledge of Python or Javascript.
Experience in system development within GIS.
Experience in operation and maintenance of web maps.
Experience in municipal work.

The City Properties’ 200 employees manage Malmö city's properties for schools, childcare, elderly care, and culture.
