The service and support business area is primarily a technical operations organization responsible for maintaining the operational reliability of Region Skåne's medical technology products (MTP) throughout the product lifecycle and assisting Region Skåne's various operations and partners with technical expertise and support in medical technology-related matters. The units within medical technology equipment in service and support have headquarters in Malmö, Lund, Helsingborg, and Kristianstad, but we also staff other hospitals around the region. We are now looking for a new colleague for the hospital in Ängelholm.

The units are tasked with maintaining operational reliability within various areas of responsibility. Even though the teams are spread across Skåne, all headquarters are staffed with one or more employees in each area of responsibility:

• Malmö is responsible for the areas: physiology, therapeutic equipment, and diagnostic equipment.
• Lund is responsible for the areas: infusion pumps and ventilation.
• Helsingborg is responsible for the areas: mechanics, endoscopy, and surgery.
• Kristianstad is responsible for the areas: EKG/EEG/Defibrillator, patient monitoring, and ultrasound.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We now welcome a service technician with placement at Ängelholm Hospital. As an employee at one of our smaller hospitals, you will work with equipment across several of our equipment groups. Therefore, this position is suitable for you who thrive best as a generalist and want to build a broad competence in medical technology. Even though you work generally, there will be opportunities to deepen your knowledge in certain equipment based on interest and the needs of the operation.

As a service technician in medical technology, you will be part of a regional equipment group led by an equipment manager. You are responsible for maintaining the operational reliability of various types of medical technology equipment throughout the product lifecycle, primarily through preventive and corrective maintenance. Your tasks also include planning and following up on service work together with other colleagues at the hospital. Additionally, you will be technically knowledgeable and participate in development work as well as manage installation, configuration, and disposal of medical technology equipment according to regional processes and routines.

As part of second-line support, you will work with technical consultation, documentation, and planning and follow-up of service work. To effectively resolve and support incoming cases from various partners, you will have daily contact with different healthcare organizations within Region Skåne and, in some cases, suppliers related to your area of responsibility. The content of the work may change to best meet our partners' needs. There are good opportunities for development within the field of medical technology, including through internal rotation and training.

We operate at all Region Skåne hospitals, and work at other locations than your assigned location may occur as needed. Working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the position, you must have at least a passing technical high school education or other education combined with work experience deemed equivalent by the employer. Additionally, you should have good knowledge of both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Since travel is part of the job, a B driver's license for a manual transmission vehicle is also desirable.

Experience in the field of medical technology and/or experience in troubleshooting and repairing electronic equipment is advantageous for the position but not a requirement. It is also beneficial if you have a technical college or university degree and experience in technical service work. If you have basic knowledge of medical technology regulations, this is also an advantage.

The Digitalization IT and MT administration provides support and service to the Skåne healthcare system. The administration's mission is to introduce a modern and cohesive digital healthcare environment while managing and effectively consolidating today's existing IT environment. The mission includes management and support of existing and upcoming systems. Medical technology (MT) also works with service, maintenance, procurement, and in-house manufacturing of medical technology equipment. The administration is also responsible for the fundamental healthcare information systems and drives the development of future healthcare information.
