Are you ready for a new challenge as a project manager with us at LKAB? We are looking for a project manager for our construction and civil engineering projects in Malmberget, Gällivare municipality. You will have the opportunity to work on large and complex projects within our mining operations.

Your Role

As a project manager, you will have overall responsibility for driving and implementing large projects, both economically and technically. The projects can vary in size from smaller operational projects to larger and more complex and challenging projects, for example in electrical and mine ventilation. You will:

• Plan and execute projects through various phases and organize the project team

• Monitor project progress and ensure that goals regarding time, quality, and budget are met

• Manage resources and budget tracking

• Participate in contract procurement and evaluation of partners

• Report and inform about project progress to clients and management

• Assess, document, and manage project risks

You Bring

We are looking for someone with good problem-solving skills who enjoys working both strategically and operationally, and has the ability to explain issues in a pedagogical manner. You are a structured person with the ability to plan and prioritize your work, while also being able to create and maintain professional relationships. You also need to have:

• A technical education, preferably as an engineer, or equivalent relevant experience

• Experience working with construction and civil engineering projects, preferably in electrical or ventilation

• Good computer skills within the Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Fluent Swedish and a B driver's license

Meritorious, but not a requirement: 

• Experience in project management methodology and leading projects from feasibility study to completion is meritorious

• Knowledge of contract law and experience working with consultants and contractors

• Experience from the mining industry
