About the department

Ward 361 is a general psychiatric emergency care unit within affective psychiatry, located at Östra Hospital. The ward has 15 beds for assessment and treatment. Patient groups have general psychiatric diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and more severe crisis reactions.

What do we offer?

We are a pleasant workplace with good teamwork where everyone plays an important role. We offer continuous professional development and supervision. The job includes regular self-defense training every week, with both practical training and discussions around interactions.

Job responsibilities

Your tasks are based on psychiatric nursing. Responsibilities include crisis intervention and supportive conversations. You work with a patient-centered focus from a holistic perspective. Your role includes supervisory responsibilities.

The length of the introduction and shadowing will be assessed based on your individual competence to ensure you have the best possible start.

About you

We are looking for a licensed nurse who enjoys working in a team and has an interest in mental health. It is important that you can collaborate easily and adapt your approach to different situations. Completed further education as a specialist nurse is an advantage.

In the event of recruitment of nurses/doctors with foreign licenses/specialist certificates, the relevant position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish licenses/specialist certificates.

If you are a newly graduated nurse, you will be part of the Clinical Foundation Year, which is our introductory program. The Clinical Foundation Year is mandatory and lasts for the first year of your employment with us. It includes lectures, nursing supervision, and practical training in your profession at the Simulator Center. Additionally, it includes service in at least two different departments to broaden your competence.
