About us

Närhälsan Vårgårda health center is centrally located by the bus and train station in Vårgårda municipality.

The municipality has around 11,000 inhabitants and is an expanding community with good connections by train and bus to Gothenburg and other larger towns in the area. The community is located in an old cultural landscape with beautiful walking areas and there is a rich association life in the area. At Närhälsan Vårgårda health center, we have 40 employees in various professions and we are a team of general practitioners. We have a positive work environment characterized by good collaboration, humor, and team spirit.

About the job

Your tasks at the health center span a wide field and cover the general medical area where you meet patients of all ages and situations. You work health-promoting, advisory, and treating in primary care, both via phone, home visits, digital care meetings, and at the clinic.

The work takes place through both acute and planned activities. Close collaboration occurs with your colleagues in the unit and cross-professionally in the team, but also together with other actors such as home care and other specialist care. Together with the health center management, you are responsible for developing and driving the operations forward. Educating future colleagues is an important and rewarding part of our mission, therefore, supervision of students is also included as part of your role at the health center.

About you

You are a licensed nurse and it is meritorious if you have advanced training in Diabetes of at least 15 higher education credits and/or experience from working at a health center.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative in their work and is confident in making their own decisions. You are meticulous, have good problem-solving skills, and can effectively prioritize among your tasks.

In your work, you meet many patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, attentive, and have a desire to help others. We also believe that you thrive in teamwork and for you, it is a given to collaborate with colleagues and other contacts. You can express yourself well in both speech and writing, and you are an engaged and good listener in both digital meetings and visits to the clinic. We would also like you to have an interest in digitalization and business development. We also see that you live up to Närhälsan's core values: Reliable, Caring, and Innovative.

About the recruitment process

Selection takes place in two steps. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who call candidates for a phone interview. Thereafter, the recruiting manager makes a second selection of the applicants and invites them for an interview at the health center.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that the answers to the questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalizing answers – this is so we can understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the outcome was.
