About the job

In the role of economist, you will be part of the Finance & Property department. You will work with accounting as well as financial reporting, tax declarations, and regulatory reporting. In this role, you will work closely with the other 9 employees in the finance department. In addition, you will have contact with employees throughout the company as well as suppliers, authorities, and the Financial Supervisory Authority.
You will be based at LF Skaraborg's office in Skövde.

Main responsibilities

You will work with quarterly and annual closings and the preparation of the annual report.
You will handle the company's ongoing accounting.
You will work on the company's operational planning.
Reconciliations and sample checks of balance accounts are part of your responsibilities.
You will work with the company's BI system Mercur.
You will prepare documentation and submit the company's VAT declarations.
You will work on projects related to accounting.
Assisting with reporting of the company's mediated business in banking & life.

The position is a temporary contract until January 2026.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a degree in economics and several years of experience as an economist. Experience in insurance companies, banks, or a similar role in an auditing or consulting firm is an advantage.
Through your work experience, you have the ability to manage and analyze new regulations and operational changes from a regulatory perspective.
As a person, you are analytical and can understand and see through complex structures and issues. You are communicative and can express yourself pedagogically in both speech and writing. You have a high level of collaboration skills characterized by being unpretentious and receptive.
