About the position

As an Accounting Manager at Kvinna till Kvinna, you will have a central role within the finance function. You will collaborate with a financial officer, work closely with the controller team, and report to the Head of Finance and Administration.

Your responsibilities and tasks include:

• Leading and being responsible for accounting and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with Swedish accounting principles and tax laws as well as internal policies.
• Managing annual financial statements, audits, and financial reports to the board, donors, and other stakeholders.
• Preparing budgets and forecasts for liquidity and cash flow.
• Collaborating with controllers to improve and streamline processes and transparency in project and grant accounting.
• Administering the cloud-based business system XLedger.
• Communicating with the external payroll provider.
• Supporting the organization in financial matters, particularly related to fundraising and project accounting.
• Staying updated on changes in regulations and legislation, and ensuring that policies and templates are updated.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with an academic degree in finance and several years of experience working with accounting and financial reporting, preferably in the non-profit sector or foundations. Experience with project accounting and grant management is an advantage. A background in auditing is also a plus.

You are very familiar with working in business systems and have excellent skills in Excel. You communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. We would like you to have experience and interest in leading and developing a finance team.

As a person, you are analytical, structured, and meticulous. You have the ability to see both details and the big picture, as well as handle complex accounting and reporting issues. To thrive in the organization, you should also be proactive and solution-oriented, with a strong desire to contribute to the foundation's mission.

The position of Accounting Manager is a permanent full-time position, with an initial probationary period of six months. The position is based in Stockholm and travel may occur.
