Staff Officer for the Swedish Armed Forces Cyber Defense
Do you want to protect Sweden and our right to live as we choose in a digitalized world? The Swedish Armed Forces Cyber Defense unit is growing, and we are now looking for a staff officer.
The Cyber Defense Command and Cyber Defense units of the Swedish Armed Forces are developing and strengthening Sweden's cyber defense. This is part of the effort to enhance overall defense capability and the operational effectiveness of the Armed Forces. The systems of the Armed Forces are subjected to daily stresses from foreign actors. Within the Armed Forces' cyber defense, there are several cyber defense units (CFF) that we now want to strengthen with additional expertise.
Main Responsibilities
As a staff officer at 4.CFF, you will be part of a competent and engaged team. The position involves participating in preparations and work within the framework of cyber defense planning and war unit development, as well as leading and participating in both larger and smaller planning projects and cyber operations. You will have significant responsibility and work across multiple time perspectives simultaneously.
Your focus will be on tasks of a preparatory, analytical, and evaluative nature. A large part of the work occurs within the framework of cooperation between military and civilian actors.
As a staff officer at 4.CFF, you will work with planning, management, and follow-up of cyber operations. You will participate in general operational and tactical planning in both the long and short term and contribute your specific expertise. You will also contribute to compiling the situational picture in the cyber domain. In addition, you will participate in the development of cyber defense and support with staff skills and routines.
Qualifications
We require that you are at least OF 2 with relevant work experience. You have experience in staff work at central, regional, or OrgE level. You are accustomed to leading and participating in projects.
You have good IT skills and the ability to switch between internal military work and collaboration with various relevant civilian actors within the domain. Furthermore, you have excellent knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing. You are used to giving presentations and lectures. You have a B driver's license.
Desirable Qualifications
We consider experience from both civilian and military service within the cyber domain as desirable. Experience from service at the Armed Forces Headquarters and experience in unit development and long-term planning are also advantageous.

Other Information
Permanent employment, full-time with a 6-month probationary period applies, start date by agreement. The workplace is in Stockholm. The position is classified and we will conduct a security review with a background check according to the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Therefore, you must be a Swedish citizen.
