Temporary Position as Nursing Assistant at Jakobsbergsgeriatriken

Welcome to Jakobsbergsgeriatriken, Jakobsbergs Hospital, located near Barkarbystaden with good transport links! We are in need of nursing assistants for temporary positions in our acute geriatric department 7, apply and help us complete our staff group!

We need nursing assistants who can work day and evening shifts including weekends.

As a nursing assistant with us, you will

Participate in the direct care of our patients in collaboration with other staff. Your tasks include conducting various checks, registering measurement values, taking samples, and ensuring that patients receive good care.

You will work in a pleasant clinic where you can use and deepen your nursing skills and thus develop in your role as a nursing assistant. Your introduction will be tailored to you with opportunities for training/education in various aspects. You will meet patients with a variety of diagnoses in both acute and stable care situations. Admissions occur around the clock, at night via ambulance, with an on-call physician present and close collaboration with emergency hospitals.

Job Responsibilities

The primary task is to plan and execute patient care together with the patient and your colleagues. You will work alongside a nurse and closely with others in the team and also with other departments.

We see that you have a genuine interest in geriatric patients and always maintain a patient focus in your care. You prioritize patient safety and work environment by contributing with good responses and security in patient contact.

Qualifications

Requirements: Proof of protected professional title for nursing assistants or employer certificate confirming that you had permanent employment as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023, in accordance with the transitional provisions (2021:739) in the Patient Safety Act (2010:659)

Meritorious: We welcome applicants with longer experience, preferably from acute care and/or inpatient care. Experience from acute care for at least one year. Familiarity with the TakeCare journal system.

Jakobsbergsgeriatriken has five departments for patients with acute medical conditions of both medical, surgical, or orthopedic causes and/or rehabilitation needs. We work in teams consisting of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. Speech therapists, social workers, and dietitians are available for patients who need them. We have an outpatient clinic for memory investigations and enhanced discharge. We are also a training unit for various professional categories, care neighbors, and interest organizations.
