ABOUT THE POSITION

Vi Omsorg is now looking for two personal assistants for our client living in central Mora. We are seeking a flexible hourly worker who can work as needed and cover for regular staff during both 10 weeks in the fall and 10 weeks in the spring, as well as during the summer. In the role of assistant, you will work day shifts with waiting time at night and double assistance during the day, but shorter shifts may also occur.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

The client is a man in his 50s who has a brain injury due to a cardiac arrest he suffered at the age of 25. He lacks the ability to speak, is wheelchair-bound, and requires full support in all daily activities. To facilitate his daily life, he uses aids such as an electric and manual wheelchair and a shower chair. There is also a portable lift in the home to assist with transfers.

As an assistant for our client, you will among other things:

• Help with daily routines such as household chores
• Assist with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, and during meals

Furthermore, he enjoys participating in various activities, especially with us at Vi Omsorg. Activities can include everything from bowling and bingo to Thursday coffee and fishing. He also values taking a trip in his own car and enjoys these outings. In addition to daily routines, the work is flexible and guided by the client's condition for the day, meaning that activities may vary depending on how he feels that day.

We are looking for someone who is calm, secure, and has a natural ability to create safety and trust in their work. You have a genuine interest in helping others and treat people with respect, care, and understanding. It is important that you are attentive to the client's needs and can handle different situations in a professional and calm manner, even when they become challenging.

Since the client lacks the ability to speak, it is crucial that you get to know him well and can interpret his sounds and signals. Therefore, we also see that you are observant and empathetic. This helps you communicate effectively and meet his needs in the best way possible. We also value that you have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as clear and secure communication is key in the job.

• Non-smoker

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in healthcare and social care, or education as a nursing assistant or equivalent education.
• Manual driving license

Start date: As agreed, we would like you to start the introduction immediately.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other compensations in accordance with collective agreements.
