We hope you are our new colleague in the area of children and families where we have started the transition to the new social services act, which will place even greater emphasis on promoting and preventive work.

As a family therapist, you will work closely and together with families in need of support and guidance.

You will come to a municipality where we are close to each other and have short decision-making paths. As a family therapist in Gagnef Municipality, you will work in our unit called children and families. The unit includes family therapists, social workers, family law secretaries, and foster care secretaries. We welcome your application!

Job Responsibilities

The work involves promoting and preventive work where you will lead parent support groups, advice and support activities, as well as work with needs-based interventions. Some family support interventions also involve working in families' home environments. Sometimes certain interventions for families may need to be scheduled at times other than office hours. Therefore, you need to be open to occasionally working irregular hours. Your workplace is partly at the municipal office in Djurås but also at the family center in Mockfjärd, where collaboration with, among others, child health care, maternal health care, open preschool, and SBU reception is part of the work.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who sees the whole in the meeting with the individual and/or family, and you have a trustworthy and respectful approach. Communicating and adapting messages based on different conditions is a given for you to achieve good cooperation. In a calm, focused, and attentive manner, you work based on sometimes changing conditions and structure the work accordingly.

You are a social worker, behavioral scientist, or have other education that the employer assesses as equivalent, and you also have training in parent support programs, such as ABC. Experience with other treatment methods is an advantage, as well as conversation or therapy training. You have experience in family therapy work and also with children and young people who have experienced violence/substance abuse at home, as well as with young people with boundary-crossing behavior/risk behavior.

You have good knowledge of the legislation surrounding the work. You also have knowledge of dependency issues and cognitive disabilities. It is also important that you can express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish and have good computer skills as the work requires documentation. A driver's license for a car is required.

Conditions

Start date by agreement, the position is permanent and full-time.
