ABOUT THE POSITION

As a Strategic Buyer at Saft AB, you will be offered a qualified role with multiple responsibilities. You will have commercial responsibility for a specific category and be responsible for creating and implementing strategies and plans for your purchasing area. Here you will have the opportunity to develop and streamline work processes in close collaboration with both internal functions and suppliers. Your work aims to improve HSE, quality, delivery precision, and cost.

We offer a varied everyday life where you will work with process optimizations, design changes, procurement, and negotiations with your suppliers. You will also participate in various development and investment projects and lead problem-solving efforts in case of urgent quality or delivery issues. The job involves regular visits to our suppliers and sister factories, with approximately 20-30 travel days per year, both domestically and internationally.

PERSONAL QUALITIES

With your several years of experience in commercial work, you have gained solid knowledge of procurement, qualification, and contract writing. You have a genuine interest in closing deals and doing business. We believe you have a university or college degree, or equivalent practical experience. You have a strong interest in manufacturing, technology, business, and sustainability issues, and we prefer that you have a background in the manufacturing or process industry. As a person, you are analytical and constantly strive to improve the current situation. You have a good ability to communicate, collaborate, and build professional relationships. You are business-minded, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. We work according to Lean principles and with a strong focus on sustainability, where we value that you can and want to work in that spirit. You are accustomed to digital tools and good at using them for analysis and visualization. You also use English fluently in both spoken and written form.

GOOD TO KNOW

You will belong to the Purchasing Department and report to our Purchasing Manager. You will be based at our site in Oskarshamn, but naturally collaborate with colleagues from other units within the group, giving the work an international character and the opportunity to develop within the entire group.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: 3-5 years of work in strategic purchasing
Education: University/College or equivalent experience
Languages: Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Data: Good proficiency in Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP/MPS systems
Driver's License: B
