About the Job

As a school counselor, you will be part of our dedicated student health team, actively participating in health-promoting school development. Collaborating with other staff at the school and external organizations is an important part of the job.

Job Responsibilities

As a school counselor with us, you will:

· Be involved in creating a positive and supportive learning environment for students.

· Work with students, both individually and in groups.

· Actively participate in the student health team and contribute with psychosocial expertise.

· Drive development regarding the school's and boarding school's preventive work concerning mental health, well-being, and safety.

· Collaborate with students, guardians, teachers, boarding school staff, and other school personnel to increase understanding of youth well-being and development.

· Prevent, investigate, and address issues related to discrimination and bullying.

· Be an active part of the school's drug prevention work.

· Participate in the school's value foundation work and collaborate with students and school staff on the school's equal treatment plan.

· Collaborate externally with social services, police, and other organizations.

· Document.

About You

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or equivalent education. We place great importance on your ability to build trusting relationships with students. You have good experience in meeting and communicating with youth and collaborating with the network surrounding the students. You should be familiar with relevant legislation, such as the Education Act, Social Services Act, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child. You can work independently and in a structured manner and have a good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing. Experience as a school counselor is an asset.

A valid extract from the police criminal record must be provided.

Probationary employment applies.

Start date August 2025 or by agreement.
