Thoraxcentrum at Blekingesjukhuset was established in 2007 to consolidate all cardiac care and thoracic surgery under one leadership.

The mission is to provide the residents of Region Blekinge, Kronoberg, and to some extent Skåne with access to high-quality cardiological care and highly specialized cardiology, which includes heart and lung surgery, invasive electrophysiology and ablations, pacemakers, ICD/CRT, invasive cardiology/PCI, and TAVI. The catchment area for the highly specialized care corresponds to approximately 330,000 inhabitants.

All activities are characterized by close collaboration between cardiologists, interventionists, thoracic surgeons, and thoracic anesthesiologists with short decision-making paths in a very stimulating multidisciplinary environment. Full responsibility is maintained around the clock for coronary angiography/PCI treatment as well as thoracic surgery.

Thoraxcentrum has about 250 employees distributed across the admission unit, care departments, outpatient services, surgical operations, intensive care unit, and radiology department. Our goal is to offer the best possible cardiac care with individual opportunities for skill enhancement and development, as well as the possibility to conduct research. We actively work on evaluating the clinic's patient processes and flows to best provide personalized care.

About the Job

We are now looking for a PCI operator/cardiologist for our operations in Karlskrona. The position includes on-call and standby duties. You PCI operators have close collaboration with other professional categories working at Thoraxcentrum. Some supervision of ST doctors and AT doctors is also included in the position.

About You

You should be a trained PCI operator and a specialist in Cardiology with backup competence. As a person, you are structured, responsible, and have good collaboration and communication skills. We also see that you function well as a knowledge resource for others.

If you also have an interest in the breadth of general cardiology, we see it as a positive.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
