Engineer in Soldier Equipment

Do you have experience in textile production? We are now looking for a new employee for the soldier equipment unit. In close collaboration with an experienced team, you will have the opportunity to influence both detail and overall in projects that strengthen the capabilities of the Armed Forces and Sweden. Your work is significant at every step, from needs and ideas to delivery and follow-up.

About the Position

In the role of engineer within the soldier equipment unit, you will primarily be responsible for following up and ensuring the quality of the production of stretch materials such as t-shirts, base layers, or underwear for the Armed Forces. This includes close dialogue with suppliers, preparation of call-off proposals, analysis and planning of transports, as well as monitoring and controlling deliveries.

We are looking for someone with a strong interest and good ability to plan and ensure the quality of textile production. You work independently within the framework of the authority's guidelines and practices but also with colleagues within the unit, the Armed Forces, and suppliers.

The position is a parental leave cover based in Stockholm and runs until the beginning of 2026. Travel, both domestic and international, may occur.

About You

We are looking for someone who is educated as a civil or university engineer or has equivalent competence acquired in another way that we assess as equivalent. You have a few years of relevant work experience, for example in a role as a textile engineer, textile economist, or equivalent. You also have experience in textile production.

It is advantageous if you have worked with public procurement, maintenance preparation, or systems security. Likewise, if you have knowledge of Adobe Illustrator or equivalent tools.

Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as well as good knowledge of the Office suite is a requirement.
