Wasaskolan is located next to large green areas with a newly renovated schoolyard for recreational activities. Inside, you will find a well-maintained equipped school with bright rooms and ample natural light, as well as a completely new cafeteria. We also have a nice school library with a trained librarian where students can sit and read or borrow books. Wasaskolan is a K-9 school with about 520 students. We also have an adapted primary school which provides good integration opportunities. Here, you will meet a large student health team, good administration, and maintenance staff. All to ensure that you, as a teacher, have the best support in your teaching. Together, we who work at the school form a strength of about 80 staff.
 

A day at work

You are responsible for and conduct music education from grades 4 to 9 as well as in the adapted primary school. You teach in an inspiring, exciting, developing, and inclusive way with a focus on students' development and learning. The position also includes other usual teacher duties such as collegial collaboration, assessment, conferences, and contact with guardians. You focus on the quality of teaching through recurring reflection and analysis of pedagogical leadership as well as goal and result management. You are part of the team for grades 7-9 where you support and help each other in the social work around students and plan for the highest possible goal fulfillment.
 

Who are you? 

Requirements:
- Degree with teaching certification, specialization in music.
- You are well acquainted with the school as an organization and familiar with assignments and governing documents.
- You have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.
- You are comfortable communicating with students, guardians, and colleagues in a way that takes responsibility for the message and ensures that the recipient understands what you mean.
- We expect you to be a secure adult who can support all students in their development towards abilities and have good competence to meet all children based on their conditions and needs.

Meritorious:
- Experience teaching music at the middle and high school levels.
- Experience and knowledge in using digital tools.
- Experience working in a multicultural area.

Personal qualities:
- You are secure, stable, and a good role model in your leadership.
- You enjoy working solution-focused.
