Description
At Karlstad University, we offer educational programs for subject teachers, primary teachers, preschool teachers, music teachers, vocational teachers, and special educators.
Our programs are conducted both on campus and remotely, providing flexibility and accessibility for our students.
The Teacher Education Office serves as a common and cohesive administrative resource that supports the university's teacher education. We provide qualified support to the dean in leading the university's teacher education and related research. Our work primarily focuses on educational coordination, quality monitoring, and management of the workplace-based education (VFU).
Responsibilities
As a VFU Coordinator with us, you will have a varied and stimulating workday. You will work both independently and in close collaboration with the VFU coordinator group, according to the common planning. Your main responsibilities include:
- Acquisition and administration of VFU placements for teacher students.
- Collaboration with educational coordinators and program leaders.
- Maintaining a large external network with municipal and other school authorities to ensure VFU placements.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a university degree, preferably in teacher education. You should have good administrative skills and be flexible, able to prioritize among various tasks. Since the work involves many valuable contacts both internally and externally, it is important that you enjoy and have the ability to create and maintain these relationships. Furthermore, good collaboration skills are also required.
To succeed in the position, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Experience in similar tasks in relevant systems such as Ladok, NyA, Excel, or similar is advantageous, as well as experience in VFU coordination at the university or municipal level.
The work may periodically involve a high workload, so it is important that you are structured and can handle stress and work effectively towards deadlines.
Conditions
Permanent employment at 75-100% with a start date as soon as possible by agreement. A probationary period applies.
