We are now looking for a temporary junior project manager for our property department who will help ensure the continued development of the University’s premises and thereby contribute to the above. We prefer that you have just completed your studies and are ready to enter the job market.

The property department has four employees and is responsible for the University’s premises supply and planning, physical environments, property services, security, and overall environmental and sustainability work. Organizationally, you will be part of the property department led by the University’s property manager.

Job Responsibilities

As a junior project manager in the property department at Halmstad University, you will drive various types of projects, both related to the University’s premises and other tasks and development projects within the department’s area of responsibility.

You will be involved in the entire process from idea to completion and have a great opportunity to influence the final result through your knowledge and experience. You will also participate in the work of resource planning and the development of internal work methods and processes.

You will, for example, work with:

• pre-studies within the department’s area of responsibility
• leading and participating in meetings internally as well as with consultants, contractors, and authorities
• driving projects and detailed issues with responsibility for both schedule and budget
• managing project finances
• written minutes and notes
• documenting and administrating projects according to project routines
• participating in the procurement of construction projects
• participating in consultant and contractor procurements
• participating in the procurement of and ordering property-related goods and services
• working with all tasks within the department’s area of responsibility, e.g., helpdesk, security, physical work environment, as well as sustainable development and energy issues
• working to create a good working environment in the workgroups

The work involves a lot of personal responsibility.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• a university degree in construction and property or equivalent knowledge
• competence in project economics, calculations, and follow-up
• competence in project management, project planning, and construction production
• competence in contract law
• good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• good computer skills and can handle programs within the Microsoft Office family.

Conditions

The employment is a fixed-term temporary position until 2026-10-31 with the possibility of a shorter extension if the need remains. Start date by agreement.
