System Developer Wanted at the County Administrative Boards' IT Department

The IT department of the County Administrative Boards is in an exciting phase of development where digitization, innovative solutions, and security and preparedness issues are in focus. The operations of the County Administrative Boards have a wide scope and work in areas that are highly relevant in today's society. Digitization is a strong driving force for the County Administrative Boards, where IT often plays a key role in realizing needs.

The IT department of the County Administrative Boards is national and works for all 21 County Administrative Boards in Sweden.

Job Description

The role of system developer requires knowledge, drive, initiative, and a burning interest in development.

You will be part of the System Development function where you will develop web applications and lead the development of mapping services.

Your primary tasks will include:

  • developing web applications, full stack
  • developing and maintaining the common web GIS platform
  • implementing all types of assignments with maps as applications in suitable tools

Location can be Luleå, Gothenburg, or Karlstad, or as agreed. We offer flexible work with good opportunities to work remotely.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has worked as a system developer for a few years and has implemented and developed assignments with integration to maps. You know what tools are needed and how to set them up, and can inspire and educate others to utilize the opportunities with GIS. You have a background as a System Developer and are proficient in the .NET platform, both C# and JavaScript/TypeScript, as well as having used frameworks such as Vue, React, or Svelte. You have extensive experience with ESRI's platform and have also been in contact with open-source products like Leaflet, OpenLayers, Geoserver, or similar.

To succeed in this role, you will need to use your communication skills and be able to act as a GIS development coach. We strive to work with agile methods and a DevOps culture in close collaboration with the business and operations, working in teams with short iterations.

You are a team player with a humble attitude who enjoys discussing the best solutions for the business with colleagues. We expect you to have excellent knowledge of Swedish and professional English, both spoken and written.
