ABOUT THE POSITION

City Hotel & Hostel is a small company with five employees where everyone helps each other with everything and works in close collaboration. The company is privately owned and opened in 1992 as a hostel. Today, they offer a wide range of hostel rooms, hotel rooms, and hotel apartments.

Academic Work is now seeking staff for Linköping City Hotel & Hostel for the summer of 2025. Your main responsibility will be as a receptionist, but the role also includes working with breakfast service and cleaning hotel rooms. Working hours vary from 06:30 to 21:30, weekdays and weekends. Introduction will take place in May and June, with the greatest need thereafter from week 27 for 5 weeks. Therefore, you need to be able to work about 1-2 days a week during the introduction and then be available for at least 5 weeks of full-time work during the summer between weeks 27-32. There is also an opportunity to continue working extra in the fall if needed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks

• Check in and out guests
• Respond to bookings and manage the booking system
• Prepare and be responsible for breakfast
• Clean rooms
• Manage the laundry room

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Are a student in a post-secondary education and have at least 2 years left of your studies
• Have previous experience in service, such as cashier, reception, café, cleaning, or similar
• Have good knowledge of both Swedish and English as the company has both national and international guests
• Have good computer skills to manage bookings and more
• Are available at least 1 day a week and during weeks 27-32
