In the heart of Hästholmen, in a picturesque setting near Lake Vättern and the Omberg Nature Reserve, you will find Vätterhästen Café and Restaurant AB. It is located in a beautiful environment close to Lake Vättern and the Omberg Nature Reserve just outside Ödeshög. Originally built in 1896 as Hästholmen's railway hotel and guesthouse, with a restaurant since 1898. The current operation is a smaller, family-run restaurant that has been serving the legendary schnitzel on the menu since 1963, which is still made in the traditional way today. All our dishes are made from scratch. If you prefer something lighter, you can find it in the café.

We offer a somewhat smaller menu, but with carefully selected ingredients and food prepared with passion and pride. We also have options for allergy sufferers (gluten/lactose) and vegans/vegetarians. During the summer, we experience higher demand and are therefore looking for individuals who can strengthen our kitchen team during lunch & à la carte. Whether you are trained with experience or simply someone who wants to try working in a restaurant kitchen, you are welcome to apply. Experience is a merit, but not a requirement. You should be stress-resistant, able to juggle many tasks, and be at least 18 years old.

* Receiving goods

* Cleaning all kitchen surfaces, keeping it clean & fresh – food safety control

* Assisting with preparation and baking

* If needed, also serving food & drinks to guests

* Work in the dishwashing area is included
