Ödeshög Municipality is located in southwestern Östergötland, with Omberg to the north, Lake Vättern to the west, the fertile Östgötaslätten to the east, and the deep forests of Holaveden to the south. The E4 highway runs through the municipality, allowing you to easily reach both Linköping and Jönköping in 40 minutes by car. Approximately 5,400 residents live in Ödeshög Municipality, which, with its approximately 400 permanent employees across four different administrations, is the largest employer in the municipality.

About your workplace, the food unit:

The Ödeshög food unit consists of 3 production kitchens and 4 receiving kitchens within preschool, school, and care. We produce approximately 1,100 portions per day.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a cook, you will work with cooking, dishwashing, cleaning, and other tasks that arise in a large kitchen. The job also includes safely preparing and handling special diets as well as working with nutrition data programs.

In this position, you will be based at one service location but will work at several or all of the municipality's food units. The starting point is that you will cover for absences and thus work at the unit where the need exists for the day. The position can be likened to pool staffing, where you need to have the flexibility to move between different workplaces.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a passionate interest in food who wants to positively and outwardly contribute to advancing the food unit. It is a requirement that you have a high school education from the restaurant and food program or an education that the employer deems equivalent. Furthermore, it is a requirement that you have knowledge of handling special diets and that you have a B driver's license and access to your own car.

As this position requires you to work at different workplaces on short notice, you need to be comfortable with quick adjustments. This means that you need to be able to work well with others and be adaptable to work in different kitchens.

It is desirable if you have previously worked in similar positions and if you have good computer skills, this is considered an advantage.
