Security Guard at Avarn Security in Växjö

As a security guard at Avarn Security, you will have an exciting everyday life where your task is to enhance our customers' safety and promote a safer environment. A patrolling guard works with preventive security. You will be vehicle-based and visit customers in your district/area to check that alarms are activated, windows and doors are closed and locked, electrical equipment is turned off, and that no unauthorized persons are present on the property/area. Patrolling security is carried out both indoors and outdoors, mostly at night, and you will work in shifts. The job is independent and mobile. In stationary security, you will work at the customer's site, which can involve everything from reception work to patrolling and staffing security centers.

The customer gives us a great deal of trust, and your work as a security guard is important. You contribute every shift to creating safety and security for the customer and society at large, as your work provides preventive protection against crime, improved fire safety, and much more. You will meet all members of the community, and it is important that you are clear, calm, and can make thoughtful decisions.

Qualifications

In addition to the personal qualities we are looking for and describe in the various assignments, you need to meet basic requirements to qualify for the position:

• at least 18 years old before starting the assignment
• high school diploma
• good Swedish in speech and writing
• driving license B

You also need to be without a criminal record*, drug-free, have a stable economy, and good health and fitness to be employed by Avarn Security.

Security training is advantageous for these positions. Other advantageous qualifications include experience in the security industry, some technical knowledge, additional language skills beyond Swedish and English, and previous experience working in public environments.

If you have the right profile for Avarn and proceed in the process but do not already have the required training (VU1, VU2), we will cover your training! Security training (VU1, 9 days) is conducted at BYA, the Security Industry's Occupational and Work Environment Board. Participation in this is a prerequisite for employment.
