About the position

As a maintenance mechanic, you will belong to the Technical Support section within the Production Department. Here, 15 employees work in the areas of preparation and production technology. The section works cross-functionally with ammunition, marine, and land-based artillery systems. The level of experience varies, and you will meet colleagues at the beginning of their careers, as well as specialists with many years of experience and in-depth technical expertise. Here, you will be part of a dynamic and developing environment where you will have close collaboration with assembly, purchasing, and design.

Job Description

As a maintenance mechanic, you will have the opportunity to develop in your role and share your knowledge and experiences within BAE Systems. Taking the lead, showing the way forward, and developing the maintenance organization is seen as a natural and important part of the job. Your tasks include, for example:

· Planning and leading changes in maintenance for assembly groups and their production equipment.

· Participating in planning and executing preventive maintenance.

· Troubleshooting and corrective maintenance.

· Conducting analyses on production equipment and maintenance needs to streamline and improve technical availability in machines.

· Being a natural contact person for production regarding maintenance of production equipment and machines.

· Participating in the development of maintenance methods for equipment and in the creation of maintenance plans for new production equipment.

· Contributing to the work of digitizing production and participating in the implementation and development of maintenance systems.

· Representing the product area in matters concerning maintainability during the development and procurement of production equipment.

Qualifications

· Several years of experience in machine maintenance and/or machine service.

· You likely have a post-secondary technical education, although this is not decisive as work experience in the field carries significant weight.

· You have good experience working in a maintenance organization with various types of improvement projects as well as the development of maintenance systems and the maintenance organization.

· Good knowledge of Swedish and the corporate language English, both spoken and written.

· You have electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic experience and basic knowledge for troubleshooting, etc.

Meritorious

· Experience with maintenance systems.

· Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma.

· Experience from metrics within maintenance.
