JOB DESCRIPTION

In the role of decision support, you will assist the prison and probation inspectors in their work with client decisions. The assignment involves making decisions in individual client cases based on delegation, ensuring that decisions comply with laws, regulations, and guidelines, as well as ensuring the quality of language and other formalities in dialogue with colleagues. The work includes documenting the probation decisions and supporting employees in preparing decisions and decision materials, as well as mentoring in client cases. You will also participate in the probation collegium and actively engage in legal forums/practice forums. Additionally, you will identify needs and suggest structures for how the work can be conducted most effectively in dialogue with the manager and other employees, and drive the implementation of these structures.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with experience in the Swedish Prison and Probation Service and solid administrative law knowledge, experience working with legal decisions, and handling administrative cases. You should have several years of experience in handling and decision-making processes related to intensive supervision and special release measures.

To succeed in this role, you need to be structured and articulate in both speech and writing. You must be able to plan and prioritize your work and drive your processes forward. Furthermore, you need to work well with others, listen, and communicate clearly to ensure that messages are conveyed and expectations are clear for all parties involved. You should also have a coaching approach and a well-developed pedagogical ability.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A bachelor's degree in law, behavioral science, or political science, or other education complemented by relevant experience for the position
  • Experience in the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
  • Experience in the probation service
  • Experience in handling administrative cases
  • Good administrative law knowledge
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience working with legal decisions related to processes for intensive supervision and release measures
  • Experience in mentoring or coaching tasks
  • Several years of experience in handling intensive supervision and special release measures
