Försvarshälsan Skövde is an integrated occupational health service with the Swedish Armed Forces as the client. We differ from conventional occupational health services by providing, in addition to occupational health care, also health and medical care for students and conscripts, as well as medical preparedness during military exercises and operations.

Skaraborg Regiment, P 4, operates in several locations, and we have Försvarshälsor in Skövde and Kvarn (Borensberg).

Main Responsibilities

• Support, advice, and training initiatives for managers and employees in health and occupational safety issues.
• Conduct statutory and general health examinations, work-oriented rehabilitation, health analyses, and sampling/vaccinations.
• Conducting your own physical training is also a work task.

Work at other Försvarshälsor and workplaces within the Armed Forces may occur.

Requirements for the Position

• Licensed nurse with relevant specialist competence, company nurse preferred
• Five years of professional experience as a nurse
• Driver's license B

Other

The position is based at Försvarshälsan in Skövde, but business trips occur for both work and personal training. Normal working hours are 07:30-16:30, but work during inconvenient hours, as well as irregular working hours, may occur.

The employment is a permanent full-time position that begins with a six-month probationary period, with start date according to agreement.

Skövde Garrison and the Garrison Unit

Skövde Garrison is one of Sweden's largest military garrisons with over 2000 employees. The garrison consists of several units from the Armed Forces, all with the main task of training and developing combat units. The breadth of the training activities includes assault units with tanks and armored vehicles, through supporting units such as artillery, command, medical, and other logistics units, to military schools with professional officer training at various levels and staffs for several command levels primarily within the army.
