About the Hotel
Scandic Visby is located with the best starting point to explore the medieval town or venture out into the countryside by car. A lovely hotel with a resort feel, where the rooms are divided into different buildings. Our restaurant is open year-round where we serve breakfast in the morning and dinner in the evening, with menus that are adapted to the season. During the summer, we open our lovely outdoor terrace with a swimming pool, and for those who want to swim year-round, we offer a warm hot tub under the open sky.

What Does the Role of Receptionist Entail?
As a receptionist, you are responsible for ensuring that our guests receive world-class service. You are the spider in the web who ensures that the guest is always the focus. You are the one who goes through the arrival list and pays attention to the details. You make sure that the guest's wishes are fulfilled. You always have a smile on your lips and a creative solution in your back pocket. You solve most issues and are a star at turning a dissatisfied guest into a satisfied one. Your workplace is our lobby, as that is where you meet the most guests. Your responsibilities also include administrative work, safety tasks, and sales work.
The work in the reception involves checking in and out hotel guests, welcoming them, and providing them with the information they need about their stay. You manage bookings in the Opera Cloud system and handle administrative tasks related to guests and safety. All work is done with guest satisfaction and sales in focus.
The hotel is open 24/7, so it is important that you enjoy working shifts (mornings, afternoons, and weekends).
Who Are You?
To fit into this role, we believe you have well-developed social skills and are capable of handling many different things happening simultaneously. It is very important that you can convey good hospitality to the hotel's guests.
You also have experience and knowledge in working with a computer as a work tool.
Since the job largely consists of communicating with guests, good knowledge of Swedish and English is a prerequisite. If you speak another language, it is an advantage. To work in the reception, you need to be at least 20 years old.
However, the most important thing is your personal qualities and attitude. To fit into the role, you need to be a responsive and unpretentious team player who takes great responsibility for your tasks and the overall result. It is advantageous if you have some form of education in Hospitality.
Information About the Position
The position is a seasonal part-time job of approximately 70-80%. We have a long season in Visby and would like you to be available from April/May and can work until September/October.
The hotel is open 24/7 every day of the week. You will work shifts in morning and evening shifts, weekdays, and weekends. Night shifts may occur.
