We are looking for enthusiastic Android Platform Developers to join our Entertainment and Connected Services (EACS) Software team. If you’re a sociable, trustworthy, and driven professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, we’d love to hear from you!
The Role:
As an Android Platform Developer, you’ll work with cutting-edge technology in a dynamic and global environment. You’ll design and build high-performing, scalable platform capabilities within the Android Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL). Your work will directly impact the development of our next-generation platform, supporting innovative applications across Volvo Group’s brands.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable platforms using established design patterns and architecture.
- Design versatile, high-performing platform capabilities.
- Create and execute tests, including V1, V2, and V3, for developed software.
- Collaborate with the team, Agile Product Owners, and the Architecture team to develop features and stories.
- Conduct thorough code reviews in line with EACS guidelines.
- Share knowledge actively within your team and across functional teams.
- Explore and learn new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of software development experience.
- Proficiency in Android HAL, C++, C, and Java/Kotlin.
- Familiarity with CAN and LIN communication protocols.
- Knowledge of the AUTOSAR standard (e.g., SOME/IP).
- Experience with tools like Gerrit, Jenkins, JIRA, and Artifactory.
- Expertise in quality assurance techniques, including unit testing and automated integration testing.
- Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
