About the Workplace

Vision i Väst is a residential care home (HVB) designed as a small, family-like residence with limited capacity and a competent staff team. We offer placements for boys aged 13–17 in a safe and well-functioning structure tailored to individual needs and prerequisites. We work intensively with a small group of youths, utilizing evidence-based methods and approaches in our work with each individual.

Job Responsibilities

As a Treatment Pedagogue, you are responsible for supporting the youths both practically and socially. You will support and motivate the youths in various daily routines to ensure a functional daily life as well as a meaningful and stimulating leisure time. As part of your role, you will act as a contact person, overseeing the youths' health, school attendance, and activities, while maintaining weekly plans. Furthermore, you will work based on implementation plans, set goals, methods, quality requirements, and other guidelines.

Your duties also include record keeping, counseling support, and all other common practical tasks.

ABOUT YOU:

We are looking for you who are educated as a social pedagogue or have another education that the employer deems equivalent. You should have at least 2–4 years of experience in similar work with this target group and be personally suitable. If you have documented experience and good references from working with children and young people with social issues, this is a merit.

Since the position involves documentation, we require good Swedish skills in both speech and writing, as well as experience with social documentation from previous jobs. As a person, you are responsible, sensitive, and solution-focused.

If you have the ability to motivate youths from an empathetic and supportive approach, you will thrive at Vision i Väst.

You are accustomed to dealing with individuals with mental health issues and have experience working with youths in vulnerable situations. Furthermore, you need to be secure, mature, cooperative, and a good role model.

Vision i Väst strives for a balanced work team regarding educational background, experience, age, language, cultural background, and gender. Currently, men are underrepresented in the work team. Therefore, we welcome male applicants for the position. However, all applications are assessed based on competence, experience, and personal suitability.

Requirements include a B-class driver's license and extracts from the police's suspicion and criminal records.

The Position

The position is full-time and scheduled during daytime/evenings/weekends, including on-call sleeping shifts.

A permanent employment is preceded by a 6-month probationary period.

A collective agreement applies.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS

Please note that we do not respond to all applications received; we make a selection of candidates who will proceed in the recruitment process. Interviews are conducted continuously throughout the recruitment period.
