The elderly care services in Umeå Municipality aim to be a resource that frees up and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life through proximity and interaction.

Prästsjögården, a care and nursing home, offers 70 apartments distributed across six units. Located in the beautiful sculpture park in the Umedal area, approximately 7 km from Umeå city center, the environment invites outdoor activities in a scenic setting. Each unit features a large outdoor area or balcony, used whenever the weather permits.

We are opening a completely new department at our facility and are now looking forward to welcoming more assistant nurses to our team for day, evening, and weekend shifts!

Your Responsibilities

With a professional approach and a welcoming attitude, you will assist our residents in their daily lives. The resident's right to influence is central, and you will contribute to ensuring that interventions are carried out with high quality, in accordance with assistance decisions and implementation plans. Your tasks will include helping with personal hygiene, laundry, cleaning, meals, and other services. Documentation of actions and health status, as well as medical tasks delegated by the responsible nurse, are also part of the role.

We are looking for someone who meets people with empathy, sensitivity, and genuine commitment. You thrive in a role where you take responsibility, collaborate with others, and are eager to contribute ideas that develop operations and make a real difference. You have a patient approach and a welcoming attitude in all situations, even when the pace is fast or conditions change quickly. The role also involves contact with various authorities, meaning you work in a structured and meticulous manner and feel confident in documentation and follow-up. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Requirements

• Educated assistant nurse (undersköterska)
• Experience working in healthcare and elderly care
• Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, to communicate with residents, relatives, and colleagues, write and read care documentation, and receive medical delegation

Merits

• Experience with medical delegation

Lifting heavy loads occurs, so transfer aids must be used. Pets (cats) are present at the facility, so you should not be allergic.
