The elderly care services in Umeå Municipality aim to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life through proximity and interaction.

Prästsjögården is a care and nursing facility with 70 apartments distributed across six units. Located in the scenic sculpture park in the Umedal area, approximately 7 km from Umeå city center, the environment invites outdoor activities in beautiful surroundings. Each unit has a large terrace or balcony that is used whenever the weather permits.

We are now opening a new ward at our facility and look forward to welcoming more assistant nurses to our team for night shifts!

Your responsibilities

With a professional approach and good treatment, you assist our residents in their daily lives. The resident's self-determination is in focus, and you contribute to ensuring that interventions are carried out with high quality, according to decisions on support and implementation plans. You will assist with personal hygiene, laundry, cleaning, meals, and other services. Your duties also include documenting actions and health status, as well as medical tasks delegated by the responsible nurse.

About you

We are looking for someone who meets people with empathy, sensitivity, and genuine commitment. You thrive in a role where you take responsibility, collaborate with others, and are eager to contribute ideas that develop operations and make a real difference. You have a patient attitude and good interpersonal skills in all situations, even when the pace is fast or conditions change quickly. The role also involves contact with various authorities, meaning you work in a structured and careful manner and feel confident in documentation and follow-up. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Requirements

• Trained assistant nurse (undersköterska)
• Experience working in care and nursing
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, to communicate with users, relatives, and colleagues, write and read care documentation, and receive medical delegation

Meritorious

• Experience with medical delegation

Lifting heavy loads occurs, so transfer aids must be used. Pets (cats) are present at the facility, so you should not be allergic.
