YOUR ROLE

As a physiotherapist with us at the rehabilitation unit, you work to strengthen people's health, mobility, and quality of life. You conduct assessments, plan, and carry out treatments that help each patient reach their goals, ranging from moving more smoothly to managing daily activities independently.

You work on identifying and treating what limits the patient's movement, such as reduced joint mobility, muscle strength, balance, walking ability, pain, or activity level. Sometimes it is about small changes that make a big difference in everyday life.

You are based in central Skellefteå and work within a geographical area, where you meet patients in both ordinary housing and care and nursing homes. The work is independent; you plan and structure your day based on the patients' needs, but you are never alone. You are part of a multidisciplinary team where physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and care staff collaborate closely around each individual.

In addition to clinical work, you contribute to developing both the professional role and the operations, for example by supervising colleagues and sharing your expertise. Working hours are daytime, Monday to Friday, and here you get a job where you see the results of what you do every day in people's lives.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

You are a licensed physiotherapist and have a genuine interest in people's health, movement, and well-being. Previous experience as a physiotherapist is advantageous, and if you also have experience from various support and care roles, we see this as a plus.

To thrive in the role, you need to be structured and able to plan your work in an independent and efficient manner. At the same time, you are team-oriented and enjoy working closely with other professions. You have a considerate approach and the ability to meet people with respect, regardless of the situation. When the pace of daily life changes or unexpected things happen, you easily find solutions and maintain your calm.

You need to be able to communicate well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. The work sometimes involves lifting and driving over longer distances, so it is important that you have the physical prerequisites required to handle these tasks. Since you travel between patients during your shift, a B driver's license is required.

YOUR NEW WORKPLACE

The rehabilitation unit is part of the health and medical care unit within the Social Services Office. We work with patients aged 18 and above who need health and medical care at the primary care level at home – both in special and ordinary housing. Our goal is to promote health, independence, and a meaningful life through a preventive and rehabilitative approach.

Around 20 physiotherapists and 30 occupational therapists work here, divided among three managers, and we cover the entire Skellefteå Municipality as our catchment area.
