Region Västerbotten – A Healthy Future
Region Västerbotten works to ensure that good health and sustainable development strengthen each other. We take responsibility for equal welfare and for ensuring that research and innovation yield results.
Within the Health and Medical Care Administration, primary care, dental care, and hospital care are united under a single administration and organized into county and local healthcare areas. The Skellefteå Local Healthcare Area includes the Emergency Department, Medical and Geriatric Clinic, Rehabilitation Center, Psychiatric Clinic, 1177, Center for Surgical Operations, as well as primary care in Skellefteå and Norsjö. Together, these units work towards providing good and accessible care.

Located between the city center and the impressive activity and recreation area of Vitberget, you will find the district of Erikslid. Here lies a health center that combines the best of several worlds and focuses on the whole person. Work here is characterized by well-functioning teams focused on high quality and accessibility. Continuous improvement and a good work environment are taken for granted, contributing to progress and success.
