Job Description

The Family Support department consists of three teams of family therapists: Mini-Maria Norra, Edingen Supported Housing, and three specialist teams. These three teams are:

  • The Intensive Team: Works with rapid start-ups and intensive interventions where concern levels are high.
  • The Family Team: Works more long-term with change processes.
  • The SUF Team: Offers support to parents with cognitive disabilities through long-term and partly compensatory interventions.

Approximately 25 family therapists with different specializations work within these teams. Currently, there are two senior case workers and two unit managers. We are now looking for new colleagues, one for the Family Team and one for the SUF Team. Are you interested in a job where you can be part of a development journey, contributing your competence and experience to provide high-quality support to our children and young people with families?

Responsibilities

As a Family Therapist in the SUF Team:
You work closely with social secretaries and colleagues, planning and executing assignments in your cases. You are also involved in developing the operations in the short and long term. You collaborate with other activities within child and youth services as well as external agencies. Your focus in the work is the best interests of the child and strengthening and maintaining parental capacities so that the child has the best possible conditions.

As a Family Therapist in the Family Team:
You work independently and drive change processes in your cases. Naturally, you collaborate with the activities and persons relevant to each case. You focus on younger children and actively work to strengthen the child's participation in the treatment while guiding the whole family.

You work when families need your support, so some irregularity in working hours occurs.

All therapists in Family Support are part of the BIM readiness. BIM (Barnahusets Insatsmodell / Child House Intervention Model) is a way of working to secure children who have reported violence. Having BIM readiness means being ready to receive BIM cases approximately every sixth week during working hours and within the framework of a flexi-time agreement.

Qualifications

You have a degree in social work, 180 ECTS, such as a social worker, social pedagogue, or behavioral scientist. You have experience in therapeutic work, and further education in specific methods that are appropriate is meritorious. Examples of such methods are PYC, FFT, Komet, MST, BIM. You have a B-driving license and good knowledge of the Swedish language, both orally and in writing.

We are looking for someone who is brave, flexible, and driven. You enjoy development and are not afraid of changes and trying new ways of working. You work without hierarchy with the child/young person in focus. You are good at building relationships and inspiring others. Personal suitability is of great importance.

Other Information

Interviews will be held in week 36.
